Davidson Design Partnership’s credentials spring from a sound basis of Architectural training, from the founding of the Practice in 1985. The Practice have grown since their inception matched today by a young team of professionals in both Architecture and Interior Design. The creative staff members are committed to producing designs based on technically competent and design led solutions.
 
The Practice philosophy is to lead with design solutions, rather than simply follow fashion.
The practice work closely with other like-minded professional team members, creating a close working relationship on a project orientated and client basis.

The practice since its inception in 1985 has grown steadily to a staff level of 10 professionals, plus a dedicated administration team.

Staff are engaged in all aspects of the design process, and work closely with other team players on a project by project basis.
Working closely with Clients is a prerequisite
of the team(s) and staffs collaborate
and interact with all Professionals, Lighting
Suppliers/Engineers, Suppliers, and Specialists
in all fields to create a total environment/project.
The Practice is based locally in Kirkcaldy, Fife, Scotland working throughout Scotland and the UK.
Historical Background
The Practice was formed by Stewart Davidson in 1985, having graduated from Robert Gordon University in 1981 with RIBA Pt II, which included a Mary Byrne Scholarship for Thesis Work and a Crown Interior Prize for Project Work in the Degree Year.
The Interior design component of the Practice
evolved from early years @ University, with
the Crown Design Award scheme, traveling
as an Exhibition throughout the UK, in the
early 80’s. The Practice now has a
speciality in this field includes a number of prestigious awards.
The Practice introduced a new partner
in 1996 with Alan Baxter having studied
at Heriot Watt and The McIntosh School,
Glasgow.
The Practice has a strong design presence and motivation with a sound grounding in Technical/Building Methodology and Regulations.
The Practice has a multi-talented staff, with Architects, Qualified Technical Staff, all with Autocad training which is a continuing professional commitment within the Practice.
The Practice operates in the Architecture & Interior Design disciplines successfully integrating both facets of the business to create total solutions. |
