The hotel an established property lying within the heat of the Highland town was the subject of a major refurbishment in 2009.
The family run hotel in Pitlochry sitting within the Tummel Valley was in need of restoration and refurbishment. The original Hotel had 6 letting bedrooms with a Bar Restaurant facility.
The brief for the project was to create a new and vibrant Hotel operation within the existing building altered and redesigned to maximise the number of rooms, yet retaining and enhancing the bar and restaurant facility.
The result was a design which adapted previously inappropriately used areas, resulting in the creation of 13 rooms including family suite accommodation.
The main bar and restaurant was a mix of traditional elements with a cutting edge and vibrant use of contemporary colours, textures and finishes.
The Destination/Tourist/Community venue is now a busy focal point within Pitlochry within the heart of the town. The Hotels character exudes quality, with the original decaying building now fully repaired and renewed offering a welcoming interior experience.
Retaining the wood burning stove within the interior and refurbishing the Old Mill Wheel have contributed to a chic interior using a palette of natural materials within the overall design solution.
Solid Oak and the contemporary use of tartan assist in providing the interior with vitality and yet a welcoming feel. |
