In addition to the Architectural commissions undertaken by the Practice which have included new build and conversion projects for housing clients include Housing Associations.

DDP have considerable experience in leisure related Commissions most noticeably recent developments for Castle Leisure Group in both Perth & Edinburgh. Both projects represent major investments for our Client @ circa £4.2 million within the latter being completed in July 2003.

The skills within the Practice encompass a wide range of Interior commissions including work in the Leisure Sector, Hotels, Bars, Restaurant and Nightclub/Venues. The Practice has been particularly successful in the Bar/Nightclub design field with a number of Awards over the past few years for work on leisure related projects. Clients have come to recognise the added value DDP bring to not only their Architectural project base, but also the Interior Design Commissions.

The necessary commercial intervention of Cost Planning is a key role within the design process, and each and every design solution in whatever discipline is approached in a Professional and commercial manner.

The Practice has a wide ranging portfolio from the smallest housing project up to the multi-million pound leisure/commercial developments.

Experience gained by the Practice, coupled with an inherent design flair has led to a number of ongoing commissions with a variety of clients, within our expanding client base.

The Portfolio seeks to provide a ‘snapshot’ of the Practice’s skills. There is no in-house style, each project being assessed in a fresh and concise way, following a full examination of the client’s brief and an appraisal of the cost parameters. A commercially astute design solution we believe is our aim, and both elements are intermingled in arriving at a final solution.

Our belief is that simple design solutions are the ‘key’ to effective and lasting design solutions. By using teamwork we seek to network the aims of the client with the design team, the Statutory Authorities, the funding agents and the construction team/contractors.

Communication, enthusiasm and experience are key elements within the Practice, which are represented within our Portfolio Presentation.
